Now you can get the improved accuracy of WAAS-enabled GPS positioning when you connect the new Earthmate GPS directly to the USB port on your laptop. The Earthmate package also includes Street Atlas 2005 mapping software so you can see your position updated in real time as you track on the screen. The new NMEA compliant Earthmate GPS also includes a convenient suction cup mount for secure in-vehicle positioning.   The removable 6 foot USB cable allows great flexibility for in-vehicle placement and the USB connection powers the receiver , so batteries are not needed. At the heart of the new Earthmate is the SiRFstar IIe 12 channel, low power chipset with a cold start time of less than 45 seconds and special technology providing improved GPS tracking in weak signal conditions. A small LED indicator on the top of the Earthmate shows tracking status of the GPS receiver.
Street Atlas 2005 software Included. Delorme's powerful Street Atlas mapping program is also included in this package so you can track your position in real time on detailed maps of the entire US. In addition you can enter an address you would like to go to and Street Atlas will calculate a route for you. You can also add new roads of your own and print maps and directions.
