The GPSMAP 2006 series from Garmin feature ultra high resolution LCD
displays with 640 x 480 pixel resolution, for the clearest and
brightest picture possible and a new high speed RISC processor for
faster chart redraws.
The GPSMAP 2006 is available with either a 10
level grayscale or a 256 color display. One of the best features of
this plotter is the full numeric keypad which makes entering Lat/Lon
numbers quick and easy. This chartplotter also has a 12 parallel
channel WAAS GPS receiver and can pinpoint your location to within 10
feet*. The GPSMAP 2006 series also feature a built-in database of tide
data for the coastal US and a basemap with general coverage of North
and South America. As you move you can see yourself on the moving map
along with important information such as speed, heading, distance to
destination and more. The GPSMAP 2006 series has dual card slots to
accept Garmin's new Bluechart marine cartography (sold separately) for
unmatched chart details showing detailed coastal outlines, buoys,
channels, depth contours, spot depth soundings, wrecks, port plans and
more. Other features include Large numbers option for easy viewing, a
detailed trip computer, and speed and course filtering. *The WAAS
signal is currently available in the US only in open areas or on the
water. |
