|  Magellan's MapSend CD-ROM's allow you to download more detailed maps into your compatible Magellan GPS. You simply insert the CD-ROM into your PC, connect your GPS to your PC , install the software and pick the area you want to download into your GPS.
The following CD's are compatible with the 330, Meridian, & Sportrak series GPS units ONLY!
The blank datacards sold at the bottom of this page are for the Meridian series units only.
Note on datacards, 16 megabytes is enough memory to hold streets data for one average size state, if you are unsure, get the next size larger datacard. These MapSend CD's also feature the ability to transfer waypoints and routes between your GPS and PC, measure distance and find addresses.

 MapSend Worldwide basemap
MapSend® Worldwide Basemap software enables you to create a basemap for any region of the world and upload it to your mapping Magellan® GPS receiver. Adding Worldwide basemaps to your Magellan GPS receiver does not erase your built-in basemap -- it enables you to add basic reference map coverage for areas not covered by the built-in map. Each basemap region you define contains the essential basic map features such as cities, highways, waterways, railroads, national boundaries and shorelines. Worldwide Basemap also includes basic topography contours, which can help you stay oriented to your environment and find Points of Interest. In addition to the visual map presentation, the map features can be located using tabular search functions - on the GPS as well as in the PC application.
